reactions about Emil
_L
Everything that comes from the hands of the Creator is good, and once it
reaches human hands, it becomes dilapidated. This is the first sentence
in the book "Emil" and a concrete manifestation of the theory
of goodness in nature, indicating that evil in human nature is not
innate, but nurtured through the subtle influence of social environment.
Therefore, education must return to its natural state. Emil is an
educational novel with a mixed narrative, in which Emil, an orphan from
a wealthy family, is the protagonist, discussing the education reform of
men and criticizing the absurdity and decay of old education. And
through the education of Emil's future wife Sophie, the reform of
women's education was demonstrated. The entire book reflects the
naturalistic educational ideology and elaborates on the theory of
goodness in nature. His ideas have inspired and influenced many
educators in later generations. This also gave me a great feeling. I
think education is a habit, and only habits that are in line with nature
can be called nature. I think it is natural education, which conforms to
children's nature. Instead of blindly instilling what we believe is
right into children. And in the process of education, we should
establish the correct value system, educate and guide in the correct
way. And learning also needs to form a habit, which we should constantly
emphasize in the education process and strive to cultivate children to
form this habit. Firstly, children's nature is to have curiosity, and
their cognitive development is in the perceptual motor stage. Therefore,
at this time, children always want to rely on their mouth and hands to
explore the world. As a natural education, we need to adapt to their
nature. As educators, we can provide them with sensory aids and strive
to create an intuitive educational environment that allows them to
experience and empathize with themselves. Emil finished reading this
book in two semesters, but it doesn't mean I will put it aside. I will
chew and read it repeatedly. Because this book is not always about empty
topics, but delves into our lives and has a great relationship with our
education. And it also made me truly realize the importance and
necessity of good education.
