吴可飞

From the origin of mountains to the blooming of flowers, time dominates the world around us. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the superpower of time, we must take back the initiative and regain the sovereignty over time. We must compress, expand, pause, and divide time in every possible way, in order to demonstrate how time has shaped our world and life. After compressing a thousand years by one thousandth of a second, the vast landmarks on Earth - the Grand Canyon, the Sphinx, the Sahara Desert, and Mount Everest - are no longer standing landscapes, but constantly changing landforms, such as rivers washing away hard rocks, mountain ranges rising and collapsing, ocean currents expanding and eventually becoming an endless sea. The life around us has its own rhythm: golden jellyfish also encounter peak traffic every day, floating in groups from deep under the sea to the surface, following the orbit of the sun and moving. The cicada can be buried underground for 17 years and then break through the ground. Some organisms must carry out long-term evolutionary plans in order to survive, such as small hummingbirds gradually changing their own in order to absorb nectar from slender flower tubes. As a result, birds and flowers are seamlessly intertwined like keys and keyholes. But is there really a living thing that can live forever? What is the interaction between humans and time? In Las Vegas, a year-round lifestyle has had unexpected impacts on nature. Humans have changed the weather, shortened the growth period of rice, and the reform of transportation has allowed us to reach farther areas faster. But can humans really turn time around? The time machine will introduce scientists' research on only one type of insect, identifying the key to prolonging life.
