what love is?
胡芷君
To be honest,I don't exactly know what the writer want to tell us in this short story, but something impresses me. According to the novel, Luz wrote in the letter to express how she loved him and how it was impossible to get along without him and how terrible it was missing him at night, when they were still together. But when Luz was made love by the major, she then regarded their love as boy and girl paffair. Isn't it ridiculous? And I doubt that whether they really loved each other. In my opinion, love doesn't depend on how much people say about it, but what they do for their lover. True love is based on our heart ,not our tongue. Saying how much we love another person, always, is just like that we are persuading us to love that person. I think such kind of behaviour is a behaviour of self-deception.
