A few years later, his health got worse. But he never stopped writing music. He missed his home, but he was just too weak to travel. Frederic died at the age of 39 in 1849. He was buried in Paris. He carried the Polish soil with him since he left Poland. His last wish was to have the soil sprinkled over his coffin.
