《中国文化读本》书评

    The Chinese culture is broad and profound, and it has a long history. The book "Insights into Chinese Culture" brought me closer to the Chinese culture that I am familiar with but is unfamiliar with.

​    The book focuses on chapters such as "Wisdom and Beliefs", "Creativity and Exchange", "Art and Aesthetics", and "Customs and Charms of Old Beijing". "Wisdom and Beliefs" is the ideological foundation of the book, which specifically discusses the essence and connotation of Chinese culture. The following chapters give detailed explanations and interpretations of Chinese characters, the four great inventions, traditional Chinese medicine, diplomacy, construction, literature, art, food culture, and folk customs from different perspectives. If the opening chapter is the soul of Chinese culture, then the next few chapters are the form of Chinese culture and the detailed expression of Chinese culture.

    After reading this book, I deeply realized that it is our responsibility to inherit history and civilization. Not everyone can leave their own traces in history, but it is thousands of nameless people who have written the history of Chinese civilization and Chinese culture. Since history has chosen us, we should continue it and be worthy of the inheritors of Chinese culture.
