Frankenstein
谢雨彤
Frankenstein is set against the backdrop of the European Industrial
Revolution and tells the story of a young scientist named Victor
Frankenstein who uses chemical and electrical technology to create a
monster with human intelligence and emotions. However, this monster was
rejected by its creator and society, leading to a series of tragedies.
The novel deeply explores themes such as science and morality, human and
nature, creation and responsibility. The monster created by Frankenstein
is actually a symbol of humanity's unrestrained pursuit of science and
technology. The tragic experience of monsters reflects human ignorance
and arrogance towards nature and life, as well as their avoidance of
responsibility and consequences for their actions.
