After seeing the title,I decided to read the short story to figure out what the five boons of life are.This fairy regared these five things as boons:fame,love wealth,happiness and death.The heroine chose happiness,love,fame,wealth in turn.Nevertheless,yhese are not the most precious as far as the author is concerned.In the end,the tramp knew death was the most precious.To be frank,I cannot understand what Mark Twain wanted to tell us.Why are death so valuable?So I searched on the Internet.Then I see the reason.Because of the terrible positions in Mark Twain's later years,his works changed to be pessimistic.I tried to follow his feelings.When a person is young,he is eager to pursue fame,love wealth.However,with the growing age,he experiences so many things good or bad.In this case,he is likely to find death is the most valuable than anything.Actually,I cannot fully acknowledge this idea.But I know a person's opinion can be changed with time going by.Maybe I think so when I get old.
