SUMMARY

When the cruel Hal beat Buck to the brink of death, Buck met the most important person in his life - John Thornton. This is Buck's last trace of nostalgia for the civilized world. However, the murder of Josh Thornton completely shattered Buck's beliefs, and he decided to head towards the wilderness and return to nature.
