The light of a wise man in adversity

In the long river of life, everyone is a lone traveler. Facing the unknown and challenges, we are often thrown into a deep sea called "dilemma". But it is not all despair and sinking in this seemingly endless, choppy sea. Just as the brightest star in the night sky, the light of wisdom, leads the way in the darkness and illuminates the way forward. The story of Robinson is such a vivid and profound example: he created a world of his own on a desert island with a knife, a canvas and a piece of mind.

I read Robinson Crusoe carefully this term. The hero of the story Robinson floating alone in the sea, in the face of desperation did not lose hope, but with their own ingenuity to create a series of practical and creative inventions and devices to successfully save themselves and savage "Friday", and eventually rescued back to civilized society. As I read, I imagined that in the difficult circumstances of the time, "do what you can and innovate" became his loudest voice in the law of wilderness survival.

Robinson showed rich creativity and practical ability on the desert island. In terms of resource utilization and creation, confronting limited food, water and survival tools on the desert island, Robinson learned how to grow corn, domesticate goats, and manufacture various necessities of life through observation and experiments, such as making knives with iron and making fire with flint, etc., realizing self-sufficiency without the support of modern industry. Besides, in aspects of adapting to the environment, in the face of harsh natural environment such as storms, beast attacks and disease threats, Robinson not only relies on his existing knowledge to defend himself and build a strong house, but also creatively invents new coping strategies, such as using wood to build a windproof shelter and designing traps to hunt food, ensuring his own living needs. In addition, Robinson also made a calendar to record his life experiences and maintain his sanity and culture. He spent years and countless efforts to build the ship, and although he was unable to launch the ship because it was too far from the sea, his creative spirit and practical ability were fully reflected in the process of attempting to build the ship. While marveling at his creative spirit, I also thought of the normal situation we face in real life. Just as phoenix nirvana can soar after experiencing painful baptism, when we encounter setbacks or get into trouble, we should believe that we have the ability to overcome all obstacles, and illuminate our own new birth with the light of innovative spirit. I hope that the arrival of that moment is not only the liberation of the body, but more importantly, the soul has been purified and sublimated, and has realized the transformation and growth in the true sense from the inside out.

In this world full of changes, difficulties seem to always come to everyone's life inadvertently. They are like an invisible barrier to keep people from moving forward. However, I believe that there are countless people like Robinson who will choose to bravely face the center of the storm and defeat the difficulties and obstacles that will make us fail with innovative wisdom.
