Thought
This book has a sharp point of view, which directly exposes the weaknesses of group psychology, and makes us individuals who claim to think independently have to re-examine whether we have been caught in the quagmire of "rabble". As mentioned in the book, "a group is a collection of people with a common purpose, and the group is mentally retarded, blind and extreme, conservative and fickle, full of primitive violence and bloodthirsty desires". These views are simply shocking, but they have to admit their authenticity.
However, this book is not perfect. Its way of discussion is sometimes too extreme and absolute, which makes people feel like listening to a cynical old man complaining. Moreover, the description of women in the book is somewhat biased, which makes people question the author's gender concept. However, these flaws do not affect the value and influence of this book.In my opinion, the greatest value of Mob is that it makes us more deeply aware of the complexity of group psychology. It reminds us to be vigilant and rational when facing groups, and not to be influenced by emotions. At the same time, it also makes us realize that as individuals, we need to work harder to cultivate our independent thinking ability so as not to become a member of the "rabble".
Generally speaking, Mob is a good book worth reading. Although it is extreme and absolute, we can't ignore the truth of group psychology it reveals.
