Pride and Prejudice Written by Jane Austen, this novel is set in the English countryside in the early 19th century, and reveals the customs and morals of the society at that time by describing the married life of the five Bennet sisters. In the novel, the main character, Elizabeth Bennet, won my affection with her independence, intelligence, and strong character. Her attitude towards love is both rational and firm, not moved by the powerful, nor confused by money. The love between her and Mr. Darcy has gone through the process from misunderstanding to understanding and then to deep love, which makes me feel the sincerity and beauty of love. Mr. Darcy initially made Elizabeth prejudiced against him because of his arrogance, but over time she gradually discovered his sincerity and kindness. This transformation not only brought the two together, but unlike Elizabeth, the elder sister Gilly and her younger sister Lydia were married to an ideal love at first sight, and the other to a false material property. The former is satisfying, even unattainable; The latter is ridiculous and will end dismally. The maturity and beauty of her sister attracted her love, while the naivety and frivolity of her sister invited deception and suffering. Facts have proved that love is based on self-esteem and self-love, and without the independence and strength of personality, it will eventually be abandoned by the cruel reality. It also made me deeply appreciate the complexity and diversity of human nature. Pride and prejudice, two seemingly simple emotions, play a huge role in the novel, driving the plot and shaping the character of the characters.
