From the perspective of character shaping, each character is distinct and profound.Ishmael, as the narrator, his curiosity and lon ging for the unknown world drive the development of the story; while Captain Ahab is a tragic figure consumed by the fire of revenge, and his obsessive pursuit of the white whale eventually leads to the downfall of the entire whaling team. This profound insight into human nature allows us to see human desires, courage, fear, and helplessness.

  这本书从开头主人公下榻旅馆开始，一路都在伏笔关于“死亡”的东西。鲨鱼头的宾馆，出生入死的标枪手，为复仇而追逐的船长，以及各种形形色色的人和事。虽然作家一直用讲冷笑话的方式陈述，但还是能感觉到主人公内心的恐惧、好奇、震撼、不甘的复杂情绪。更不要说姿态各异的配角和大船上错综复杂的人际关系。这其中也算包罗万象了：宗教、信仰、生死、资本、人性、美丑，种种内涵层出不穷。 好看是真好看，内容也是真的多。我现在再去类比，还是觉得《白鲸》跟《项塔兰》是一挂的。我现在就等结尾了，这个故事的悲剧气息太浓，快点看完才能快点脱身。
