The Wizard of Oz is set in the fictional land of Oz and tells the story of Dorothy, a little girl from Kansas who is swept by a tornado to a place called Oz. A kind-hearted witch guides her to Emerald City to find an Oz wizard to help her get home. On the way, she met the scarecrow one after another - he needed a brain; Tin man - he needs a heart; Cowardly lion - he needs courage. They walked together, encouraged and helped each other, overcame one difficulty after another, and finally arrived at Emerald City. Due to their outstanding performance, the magician helped them fulfill their respective wishes, and the scarecrow gained a pair of brains; The tin man gained a heart; The timid lion gained courage, and Dorothy also fulfilled her wish, returning to her hometown and family with her little dog Toto.
During the process of reading, Dorothy occupied my thoughts. It seemed that Dorothy was my good friend, and my heart was filled with joy, tension, surprise, and sadness from time to time, following Dorothy's experiences. Her brave performance, kind heart, and strong will make me feel embarrassed for my cowardice. Sometimes I ask myself, 'If I were Dorothy, would I be brave enough to overcome numerous difficulties and help others like Dorothy?' After reading this fairy tale, I am determined to gather the courage like Dorothy, face various difficulties with unremitting pursuit and struggle, overcome all unfavorable factors in learning and life, and bravely challenge myself. I believe I can do it!
