Book Review
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Mark Twain's classic novel, tells the story of a teenage tramp who finds himself floating on a raft in the Mississippi River with Jim, an escaped slave. During their dangerous journey, Huck and Jim meet adventure, danger and a group of sometimes dangerous and often funny characters.Although some scenes in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn are interesting in themselves, the humor in this book is mainly reflected in Huck's unique world view and way of expressing himself. Huck described his short stay with Douglas after the widow Douglas adopted him, saying, "After dinner, she took out her book and asked me about Moses and the Brushers. I sweated to know everything about him." But gradually, she revealed that Moses had been dead for a long time; So I don't care about him anymore, because I don't believe in the dead. "Behind Mark Twain's humor is the dark undercurrent of cruelty and injustice before the war, which makes The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn an often interesting book and conveys a serious message.
