Reminder of Childhood Memory
As we all know,Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is one of the most famous and popular children novel in the world.Thus when I was a child,I had already read this book which is in Chinese.And nowadays I am still interested in this book even though I had read it before and then I started to read the English version without hesitation.
The book,Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is about Alice’s interesting experience in the mystery wonderland.One common boring day,Alice can’t bear reading books beside her sister.Then out of curiosity she followed a rabbit to the wonderland and started her journey.In Wonderland,Alice came across many different challenges,such as being too big or too small.However,she never lost heart and face the difficulties bravely.Besides she also met a lot of people as well as animals and became friends with them.She constantly insisted thinking about and finding out who she is.In this way,Alice grew up gradually by experiencing the challenging or amazing situations and at last she found that the adventure was just a dream.
After reading the English version Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,I found Alice a curious and brave girl.She was always wondering and asking questions especially when she listened to stories.Even though Alice came across many difficulties which she had never met before in the real world,she did not feel discouraged and give up immediately.With the determination of finding out who she is,Alice finally know herself more deeply.
It is an absurd story about Alice’s adventures.Explicitly,an absurd fairy tale.There are many plots which are unconventional and even a little strange.For example,Alice can become bigger or smaller when she ate a cake or other things.However,these plots can help adding the interests of the novel which can make it more suitable and attractive to children.After all children all like the interesting mythological stories.No wonder Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland can be popular among children and adult for such a long time.
While I was reading this novel,it reminded me of the memory of reading this book in my childhood.At that time,I was about ten years old and I am fond of reading fairy tales as other girls.Thus Alice’s adventures in Wonderland is my favourite one which accompanied with me for a long time.After school,I usually read the book for an hour before doing homework and it sometimes made my mum angry.However,I still find it interesting because in my opinion there are still some obvious differences between the Chinese version and English version,both in language and the expressions,especially in details.English version can somehow express the meanings that Chinese version can not express perfectly.
As for me,Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a book which leave a deep impression on me and teach me a lot in my childhood.Every time reading this book,it always reminds me of my childhood.
