A Review of O. Henry's Short Story Collection After reading O. Henry's Short Story Collection, I am truly impressed. His stories are set in the everyday life of ordinary people in New York City. What makes them so captivating is the unexpected plot twists at the end. In “The Gift of the Magi,” a young couple sell their most precious possessions to buy Christmas gifts for each other, only to find that their gifts are now useless. This ironic ending reveals the depth of their love. O. Henry's writing not only entertains but also makes me reflect on life. He shows that even in the most difficult circumstances, there is always hope and kindness. His works are a mirror of society, full of humanity and warmth.
