绿野仙踪读后感
Q
After reading “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by L. Frank Baum, I was
completely spellbound by its fantastical and colourful world. The
story follows the protagonist Dorothy, a young girl swept away from her
Kansas home to the magical land of Oz. Along the Yellow Brick Road to
the Emerald City, she meets the Scarecrow in need of a brain, the Tin
Woodman longing for a heart, and the Cowardly Lion seeking courage.
Together, they face numerous challenges, from the Wicked Witch' s
schemes to the mysteries of the Emerald City. What struck me most
is how the story blends adventure with profound themes. Each character’s
journey is a quest for self - improvement, showing that true strength
comes from within. For instance, the Scarecrow displays wisdom despite
lacking a brain, and the Tin Woodman shows great compassion without a
real heart. This book not only entertains with its vivid
descriptions of flying monkeys, magical shoes, and talking scarecrows
but also leaves the reader with a valuable lesson: we already possess
the qualities we most desire. It' s a timeless classic that appeals to
both children and adults, reminding us to have faith in ourselves and
embrace the magic of friendship.
