The central plot of the novel is about how the white child Huck and the black slave Jim developed a deep friendship. Huck fled to a small island to escape the abuse of his drunkard father and happened to meet the runaway slave Jim. The two traveled together, attempting to escape from the Mississippi River to the free state in the north. At first, Huck was influenced by reactionary education and felt that he should not help the runaway slave. Later, during the days and nights of drifting, I was gradually moved by Jim's kind and selfless character and expressed that I would rather risk going to hell to help Jim gain freedom.

Along the way, they encountered all kinds of hardships and dangers, being pursued by civilian gangs, abused by fraudsters and various natural disasters. With the concerted efforts of the two people, all the difficulties and dangers were resolved. Ultimately, with the help of his good friend Tom, Huck rescued Jim who had been sold by the swindler and learned that the hostess had declared in her will that Jim's slave status would be lifted.

The qualities demonstrated by Huck, the protagonist of the adventure story, are what we should learn when we are studying. His kindness, intelligence, bravery, and his perseverance have greatly shocked me. Especially the character's spirit of exploration, which is something each of us should possess.
