Book Review
After reading "Jane Eyre", what moved me the most was the independence and integrity of the protagonist, Jane Eyre.
Jane Eyre's life was not smooth. She had no relatives to love her since childhood and grew up through hardships. She didn't have outstanding looks or a privileged family background; she was just an ordinary and common woman. However, she remained dignified and upright, respected herself and demanded that others respect her. The love she longed for was not dependent on or seeking to please others, but rather a mutual equality of souls and mutual respect between two people.
She loves sincerely and with clarity. She won't lose her moral boundaries just because she falls in love with someone, nor will she choose to leave just because the other person is in trouble. This unpretentious and steadfast attitude of hers is particularly admirable.
This book doesn't have elaborate plots, but it conveys the most precious qualities. It teaches us that throughout one's life, having an independent personality and a self-respecting and self-loving heart is far more important than appearance and social status. Such a person will eventually shine as their own light.
