some thoughts

When I was a child,I've ever read this book before in Chinese,of course.And so many years later,I picked it up again.This time,I've understood it better.

    Jane was really a poor girl and had a tough experience.She was an orphan since a kid,luckily her uncle promised to bring her up.After her uncle's early death,she lived with her aunt and cousins.It is not surprising her aunt did not like her and treated her badly.She will also have to tolerate the brutal behavior of her cousins.Anyway,that is really a dark and hard period and ended up in sending her to Lowwood Orphanage.However,it is just another beginning of her tough life.

    All that she wanted are just being simply regarded as a common person.But it seems she barely got what she wished during her childhood.She got educated there.She went through the suffers from being humiliated and devastated and this grew stronger.Everything has its duality.Her experience built up her strong character and taught her to be persevering and prize dignity over everything.

    As time went by,Jane grew up and became a tutor in Thornfield where she met her Mr.Rochester.He is a gentleman with a warm heart,even if he doesn't have a bland face.It is likely to be her life changing point.God likes to play jokes with men.

   Jane and Mr.Rochester's legal wife.Jane was painful to know that.She loved Rochester but she should insist on her principle.She left Thorfield to find the peace of her heart.

   She finally came back to Thotnfield to find out his wife dead in fire.Actually,Mr.Rochester had always been suffering from his mad wife.Jane's coming back made him more than surprised.Afer figuring out everything,they got together at the end of this story.And I believe that they will be happy forever.Because Jane has many respectable characters.Her braveness,thrift,perseverance and optimism will lead her to the way to happiness.

I was too young to understand Jane when I first read the book.Even she is common and not beautiful,she gained her true love.Rochester loved her not because of her pretty face or good voice,but her pursuing of dignity and the spirit of never giving up on life.Whatever difficulties she had been through,she never lost the faith to live a better life tomorrow.No matter how many times life had let her down,she will still have her trust.

    Nowadays,we're not having a life as hard as hers,but the characters we can learn from is never out dated.
