The Old Man and the Sea tells a touching story of an old fisherman. Though he struggled with a huge marlin and fierce sharks alone at sea, he never gave up. His famous line “A man can be destroyed but not defeated” deeply moves me. It teaches us to stay strong - willed no matter how hard life is. This short novel is truly a treasure full of courage.
