"The Invisible Man "is a cautionary work on human
nature and power, warning us that no matter how advanced technology
becomes, the ethical bottom line and the warmth of humanity should never
be rendered invisible. Only by subjecting power to the constraints of
responsibility can humanity avoid losing its way on the path of
exploring the unknown. The tragedy of Griffin lies in his mistaken belief
that invisibility was an all-surpassing privilege, while forgetting that
the brilliance of humanity is precisely reflected in the restraint of
knowing what to do and what not to do.
