A Little Princess书评

Q
A Little Princess, written by Frances Hodgson Burnett, is a touching story that I really enjoyed reading. It is a suitable book for junior high students, as the language is simple but the story is full of heart and lessons about kindness and courage. The main character, Sara Crewe, is a kind, smart girl who comes to a boarding school. At first, she is treated like a princess because her father is rich. But when her father dies and loses all his money, her life changes completely. The headmistress, Miss Minchin, turns cold to her and makes her live in the attic, work as a servant, and eat little food. Even when life is hard, Sara never loses her kindness. She shares her food with a hungry girl, is polite to everyone, and keeps her imagination alive. She always believes that “all girls are princesses”, no matter if they are rich or poor. What I like most about the book is Sara’s spirit. She does not become bitter or mean when bad things happen to her. Instead, she chooses to be kind and brave. Her imagination helps her get through hard days, and she never stops hoping for a better life. This story also shows how unfair people can be, but it also shows that true goodness can win in the end. This book is not just a story about a poor girl; it is a reminder that being kind, hopeful, and brave is more important than having money. I would recommend A Little Princess to everyone, especially those who like stories about kindness and hope. It is a short but powerful book that stays with you long after you finish reading it.
