Chapter 4 - The Call of The Wi

Buck won the leadership and the responsibility, he shot for the first place of the trace, and successfully licked the team into shape. They broke the record, while the trip was full of joy and hardship, the men and dogs built a brother like friendship. But drunken days all have their tomorrow, Perrault and Francois’s drinking for celebrating delayed their journey, as a punishment, they were sent to another mission and Buck, and his comrades were charged to another team for heavy load toiling. It’s not an easy job like usual, instead, it wore them out. The first falling was Dave, who was exhausted but still stick to the job, finally ended up his life half way.

  During the trip, Buck’s ancient fragments kept showing up, every night he lay beside the fire he could see a primitive man, and hear the voice singing and calling him.
