As we can see there are all kinds of loves in the world,which exist in the middle of lovers,relatives and friends.Well,the love of our parents that give us the care and the warm is the most selfless love in the world.Whereas today,I would like to talk another selfless love.
To begin with,I want to make a brief introduction for my reading on The Opera Ghost. This gripping story about the “opera ghost” and the beautiful singer he loves launched one of the most popular musicals in Broadway history—and it serves up enough thrills, chills, and surprises to keep even the most reluctant reader fascinated.Let’s see three major characters.Erik,or the opera ghost,or angel of music,who had a unexceptional voice and a scared face in the back of his mask simultaneously.Also,he was an architect who had exquisite craftsmanship and he had an favorable commend of ventriloquism.To be frank,I am threatened by him so much,who appeared and disappeared mysteriously in the opera,wrote everything with red ink,and even had controlled the whole Palais Garnier.He wanted anyone to die and he must do.What a horrible and cruel ghost!Whereas I had an increasing acquaintance with him gradually as I was close to the end of the novel.I also can’t help uttering a deep sigh-“poor Erik!”,just like Christine once did.Yeah, he was not an angle,nor a ghost,nor a genius,he was a person who made people pity.”When my own father never saw me and when my mother,so as not to see me,made me a present of my first mask!”He just the one who eagered for loving and being loved.Though he did something horrible indeed,he gave Christine selfless love,the chief reason why he set Christine and Raoul free in the end was that he loved Christine with heart and soul!He was just like this,who was half angel and half demon,ultimately the side of angle prevailed the side of demon.
Then,what about Christine and Raoul?The girl,a fascinating and kind-hearted singer,who charmed everybody with her prettiness,her grace of manner and her genuine eagerness to please.After her father was dead,her talent of music was gone,then she gained an immense triumph with the help of the opera ghost.She took the mask of the opera ghost down driving by curious heart.She feared him so much,whereas she kissed him at last.And I think it is the love which Christine gave when she kissed Erik that let Erik make a decision –set Christine Raoul free and bless them.What’s more,the love which Christine gave Raoul was selfless.She loved him all the time but she could’t tell him,she would like not to hurt him on account of her love.She stoop to compromise and even accepted the marriage with the opera ghost just to save the life of his lovers.What a loyal and steadfast love!
Of course,Raoul made a deep impression on me,who was a upright and fearless boy.He could do everything for Christine,he loved her and he never required report back on what had been done.He suffered a lot in the process of protecting Christine,whereas he never complained and matched forward courageously.There is no doubt that his love for Christine is selfless identically.I guess they had a happy life after they leave Erik.
Naturely,I thought another novel-Notre Dame de Paris,which was created by Victor Hugo.Quasimodo,who has an extremely ugly appearance,loved an attractive girl-Esmeralda.He tried his best to prevent her from danger,even was disobedient with his adoptive father.At last,Esmeraleda was in the dust,and Quasimodo found her body and he embraced her until they became human skeleton.I still remembered that I shed touched tears of emotion.It is this kind of selfless love that impressed me a lot.Yeah,whatever you look like,you have the right to love and to be loved.
There is a proverb says,”True love,with real promise,with sincere to give,without regrets selfless love together.”I hope true love exists permanently.I hope this selfless love continues all the time and all the way.That is all.
