A demon and his love

Having seen the movie adapted from the novel, I just spend two months reading the original work. Like other masterpieces in literature, The Phantom of the Opera has its own unique appeal. It's third-person narration through the whole story. Eric is an outstanding and splendid architect and artist who has a gift for music. Nevertheless he is so ugly that he has been abandoned by his parents in his early ages. As Christine says,"What a poor guy". Due to a lack of love and care, he loses human nature and engages in brutal murder and assassination. Christine, an innocent and pure girl, firmly believes the existence of the Angel of Music, who lights up Eric's life. Eric teaches her how to sing better so that she makes great progress and games considerable fame amid the applause of the audiences. He is a close friend and partner for Christine. Actually she loves Raoul de Chagny, a playmate during her childhood when her father was alive and often sang and played with them. Her father said he would make the Angel of Music to be her side. Although fate is unfair for Eric, he gets Christine's resonance and comprehension. Luckily, the story ends with a satisfying departure of love.
