Far from the Madding Crowd

After several days’ reading,I’m really impressed by this story.

 The story happened in England's Victoria age,it's a story about betrayal and love.The three different men both liked the girl.However their love was so different that made this story very intricate and touching.

 The first man who showed his love to the beautiful girl Bathsheba Everdene is Gabriel Oak.An honest man who was rejected by Bathsheba,and soon lost his all property so he had to work for Bathsheba.

 When he worked for Bathsheba,he knew he hadn't competency of dreaming of getting her,so he just helped her as much as he could.Time went by peacefully at this beautiful filed,but a trick Bathsheba made on another farmer changed everything.The poor farmer’s name is Boldwood.Just like the word wood in his name,it seemed that he didn’t like women at all.However Bathsheba sent him an no signature valentine’s card.It is used to play a trick on Boldwood,but was highly regarded by him.It seemed to wake Boldwood up and made him fall in love with Bathsheba totally.Unfortunately Bathsheba didn’t want to marry him,so Boldwood had nothing to do but be disappointed.Then a handsome sergeant named Frank Tory with a suit of red martial attire captured Bathsheba’s heart.Although he just broken with his poor fiancee who annoyed him because a ludicrously misunderstand,he still told Bathsheba that he loved her so much that he wanted to marry her.

 Ignoring Gabriel’s entreaties,Bathsheba married with Tory,but their marriage wasn’t happy.Tory turned to be irresponsible and was addicted to gambling.When Bathsheba suffered all her husband’s bad behaviors,Gabriel just did his work and protect her farmer as hard as he could.But Boldwood had his jealous on Tory.Maybe Bathsheba would suffered this for her whole life if Frank’s previous fiancee hadn’t shown up again.However Tory met her at town by accident,who had already been a beggar and having his baby.

 Being afraid of Bathsheba’s doubt Tory made promise to her and asked her to met him tomorrow.However Tory only made to see her and him son’s dead body,which made Tory extremely sad and he told Bathsheba that she meant nothing to him,then he jumped into the sea,everyone thought he was dead.

 After that,Boldwood start chasing her again with a desperate heart,but one thing nobody could imagine is Bathsheba’s dead husband came back and asked Bathsheba to sell her farm.With extremely angry,Boldwood shot him, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment.

 After all this,Gabriel decided to leave this country,but Bathsheba finally found that Gabriel was her true love,so she asked him to stay and then Gabriel decided to go back farm,leaving two backs for reader.

 Among the three kinds of love,I prefer Gabriel’s,loving her heart and soul without expecting her love.And I’m happy to see they get together with each other at the end.
