The Phantom of the opera is a fantastic novel written by Gaston Leroux,which recounts a mysterious story happening in a spectacular Paris opera theatre. After reading the novel,I supremely love the character of Eric and I hold the very sympathy to him.No one can choose their own appearance which we are doomed to it.Erik is unfortunate.When he was mature enough to make himself aware of his existence was to provide people the joke or a nightmare, he was desperate.He learned to kill--learned to use his own hands,ropes and his anger to kill another life.He does not get pleasure from killing others,but just for the sake of dignity and survival because he had no choice.His misery touched a good woman--Madam Giry,who let him stay in the grand and huge Paris opera house.For a genius,any place will become his thought-sparked place, here he found his own part of happiness.He was undoubtedly excellent-- excellent architects, excellent set designers, excellent tailoring division,excellent sculptor,and excellent singer.Yes,he had a beautiful voice--his voice was full of infinite imagination.

In my opinion,Christina doesn't deserve Eric's love.Eric should have got better love.Eric thought Christina was his light which shined his world.Actually,she was fire which burnt him into ash and dragged him into the hell.
