In the story, Miss Martha think the artist is a poor man that he cannot buy the fresh bread. But what she did for him actually destroy him because the artist use the bread which coated with butter to paint the picture.So in the end his work is destroyed. What I learn is that what we see is not the really truth.We should not judge the truth by the surface of something or someone.That is to say, when we analyse one thing,we should know the whole situation but not the one aspect.
