Ethical beings

梁秋莹
Man is not good by nature, so he must be educated to control his animal activities or to be virtuous. Though I do not agree with the point that man is not good by nature, I do agree that “man can only be man by education”. The difference between man and animal is that man can control their natural needs. Therefore, without virtue, there would be no difference between man and animals. As one of the most important perspectives of a society, education should first transform people into ethical beings.
