What is a university? It's a perennial topic, especially when it comes to freshmen every year. It's just a question of what a university is and how it should do it. For a long time there has been no conclusion. Recently read the Chinese university of Hong Kong, a former vice President Mr. Ch.11 "idea of university", this has included Mr Kim about the concept of "university" characterized with comprehension corpus, discusses the concept, of the university of specialist education and general education, academic freedom, and so on related issues, the broad field of vision, insight into the original, I give the frog in well an enlightened feeling, just pick some philosophical deadly serious, reserved for memories,

John lowers, chairman of the Rockefeller foundation, thinks today's "intellectuals" should be able to combine "different kinds of knowledge. It is integrated and consistent, and can start from the humanistic spirit, know what should be done, and judge what can be done from the perspective of science and technology.
There are many ways to nurture and develop the world spirit of a university. However, the mutual visits between scholars are not only the tradition of ancient Chinese universities, but also of great significance and value.
Winston Churchill told students at the university of Brest in 1929: "the most important thing in education is the thirst for knowledge. Education does not begin in college, and certainly should not end in college."
Personally, I believe that college students should try their best to accumulate knowledge and enrich their wisdom. It is natural and proper to care about and understand the society and put forward opinions and criticism to the unreasonable people in reality, but it is not necessary to go out of the classroom, library, laboratory, direct participation and infinite commitment.
Long thoughts, for the nature of the university, for my own university life. Perhaps something else should be done. It's time to change your tune.
