Little Women by American writer Louisa May Alcott introduced me to four strong girls in a family: Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. Meg was gentle and virtuous; Jo was fierce and frank, Bane was gentle and quiet, And Amy was lively.
They are different in character and have their own pursuits. The noble but caring older sister Meg, the restless but caring second sister Jo, dreamed of becoming a writer, the elegant and selfish but beloved Amy loved painting, and the selfless but needy Beth loved the piano.
They are both eager for a better life. They move from innocence to maturity, from vulnerability to fortitude, from impatience to patience, from self to others, each of them strong.
Little Women is a book full of human beauty, something that goes to the heart of everyone.
