Huckleberry was a runaway romantic, but he was not as witty as Tom Sawyer. Mixed with current events and humor, such as a Ponzi scheme run by a black man or a Romeo and Juliet joke (first in the story and then in the play), locals are mocked for not being able to read serious literature. The play of the duke and the king, two imposters met on the road, was wonderful, which a simpler child would not have experienced at all. When Tom Sawyer rescued his black friend, he was also particular about style. He did not want to rescue him by "useless" method, so he could only "pretend to use it for 37 years and pretend to use a knife", which was very humorous
