AFTER READING CHAP2 (Jane Eyre)
Nevermore.
In this chapter, Jane has been punished and sent into the red room. I found something interesting in the narrative skill of this chapter. Charlotte first describes the whole composition and decoration of the red room, I think the purpose is emphasizing the terror of it, on account of its weird color and atmosphere. Whoever sane stay in this room for a whole night may lose his sanity more or less. So we all sympathize Jane. And then we learned about some people's character traits and appearances through Jane's thoughts, maybe it is a kind of complaint.
