Batik dyeing is a traditional printing and dyeing process of the Miao people. Batik dyeing technology was mastered as early as the Qin and Han Dynasties.
Miao batik has a long history, and Batik Song (ancient song) is popular in many places, narrating the origin of batik. According to Guizhou Tongzhi, "If wax is used to paint flowers on cloth, the pattern will look like painting once the wax is removed." This kind of batik cloth was once called "appendix dry spot cloth".
Batik dyeing is a traditional skill passed down from generation to generation by the Miao people. It is called "xie" in ancient times, and "Wutu" in Miao language means "batik clothing". Batik cloth dyed with indigo blue and white flowers with blue background, with strong ethnic customs and local flavor, is a unique national art flower in China.
