In Jane's whole life, there were many oppressions ,but the fate did not make this poor girl live in diorder.On the contrary her tenacious vitality and perserverance helped her learning painting,music and  French sikills in school,which enabled her to make a living.

  She pursues spiritual equality and independence of soul. Of course, she also likes her cousin, but around her cousin, she finds that her nature is imprisoned and her words and deeds are constrained by her cousin's evaluation system. And around Mr. Rochester, she could be herself. The cousin cares only for those qualities in Jane that fit his needs, and tries to use them and amplify them himself. And Mr. Rochester loved Jane for everything, unconditionally. That's the difference between like and love.
