The author of Jane Eyre
乐乐乐橙子
The author, Charlotte Brontë, was born in 1816 to a family of clergymen in the north of England. Her mother died young and at the age of eight Charlotte was sent to a boarding school. Living conditions there were extremely harsh and her two older sisters died in quick succession after contracting lung disease. At the age of 15 she attended Miss Wooler's school, where she became a teacher a few years later. She later worked as a governess, but gave up making a living as a governess because she could not bear the discrimination and meanness of the noblewomen and broad ladies towards governesses. She planned to set up her own school, for which she went to Italy with Emilie to study French and German with the financial support of her aunt. However, no one came to attend and the school was not established. However, her experience in Italy inspired a strong desire to express herself and led her to pursue a career in literature.
