观后感悟
The old Cuban fisherman Santiago finally caught a big marlin by himself without catching fish for 84 consecutive days. But the fish was too big. He dragged his boat on the sea for three days and was exhausted. He was killed and tied to the side of the boat. He was repeatedly attacked by sharks during the return journey. At last, when he returned to the port, only the head, tail and a spine were left.
Although this is a work with a simple story and a small length, it has rich meanings. Many teachers recommend it to students as a textbook for heroism education, making it an enduring bestseller.
