Rochester is the owner of Thornfield Manor. He has wealth and strong physique. He looks cold and stubborn on the surface, but he is kind-hearted. At first, in Jane Eyre's eyes, he was gloomy and moody, with a manly spirit. He is not very handsome, but looks very firm and persistent, with thick black curls and a pair of large and bright black eyes.
