About the Author:

Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888) was an American writer known for her portrayal of family life, childhood, and family idealism. She was a feminist and social reformer whose works were loved by her readers. The book is based on her childhood experience and has touched countless American readers, especially female readers. Later, a number of her early experience as the theme of the works have come out. She remained unmarried and died of mercurial poisoning in 1888.
