From reading the Chinese spirit, we can feel Mr. Gu hongming's confidence in Chinese civilization,confidence in  Chinese people,confidence in  Chinese language andconfidence in Chinese spirit.

When the moral force represented by religion is no longer able to maintain the  social order; When the Chinese are running after the thoughts of the Eueopen . Mr Gu hong-ming shouted out to the world loudly that "the Europeans will find this new power in china-in Chinese civilization". From these words, I deeply felt Mr. Gu hong-ming's confidence in Chinese civilization. It is no doubt that the Chinese civilization has lasted for more than two thousand and five hundred years and the civilization takes Confucianism as the main body , that is‘the religion of good civilization . It is this belief that gave birth to the Chinese civilization more than two thousand and five hundred years ago.

"The real Chinese may be rough, but there is nothing rough in rough. The real Chinese may be ugly, but there is no ugliness in ugliness. The real Chinese may be vulgar, but there is no aggression and noise in the vulgar. The real Chinese may be stupid, but there is no absurdity in stupidity. The real Chinese may be cunning, but there is no malevolence in cunning. Perhaps, in the eyes of foreigners, Chinese people are coarse and vulgar, but in fact , we Chinese can stick to the purity of the heart, even when: "life and righteousness can not have both, give up life and take justice is also. But not all our countrymen are so perfect. However, it is with this rare imperfection, only more warned us to stick to the original heart.

What is more ,Chinese people also pay special attention to loyalty,What reflected in the book is the ministeris loyal to the empire, the son is obedient to his father and the wife allegiant to her husband. For women in the fedual society, there were three conforme and four vitues to restrain there behavior .Although it was unfair to the ancient women ,it was also a kind of loyalty in that time.Through these instances in the book , we can see that this is where the essence of Confucianism lies. We should regard loyalty and sincerity as the soul of life. 

By reading Tang poem and Song jambic verse , we can see the ever-changing Chinese language, taste the beauty of the Chinese language in the changes. A horizontal, a vertical, a skim and a si write down that the Chinese people will never admit defeat, we Chainese will always have the spirit of forward in mind. As Mr Gu hong-ming puts it, "Chinese language is a spiritual language essentially".

In today's China, worshipping foreign things and fawning on foreign countries is still serious. We should maintain Mr. Gu's self-confidence, study the extensive and profound Chinese culture,at the sane time, take the essence and discard the dregs , spread our charming culture to the whole world,  spread the beautyof Chinese culture to the whole world as well!
