Before reading this book, the spirit of the Chinese people was very curious about the background of its creation. Later, it was learned from online sources that since the late Qing Dynasty, the image of the Chinese people has been distorted and distorted in other countries of the world, in 1915. The war in Europe is raging. Mr Gu Hongming, perhaps in the past, can be regarded as a rare genius or even a weirdo in the world. He has 13 doctorates, full of jingles, and perhaps he is aggrieved by the world's view of the Chinese people at that time. In order to spread Chinese culture to the world and have a profound influence, or to show a clear path for the European civilization and the world civilization that were in crisis at that time, Gu Hongming published the Chinese Spirit. To tell the truth, I can't agree with some of the fine traditions that Mr Koo wrote about the Chinese people, and I even felt a little disgusted with those views, as if the ancient man's triwife and four concubines were now feasible. I really cannot agree with the views of the three sides of the four virtues of women. Perhaps they are the differences of the times. Although some of Mr. Koo's views make me wonder, there are also some things that are very reasonable. I have to say that some of his other views on Chinese characters and the spread of the Chinese Confucianists have made me very impressed, thinking that it may take a lot of books to go that way, although some of the ideas in the books are too old-fashioned. It is not suitable for the new society, but we have to admit that there are some points in the gentle middle way of Chinese people that we should learn from. Although Mr. Koo is indeed a great scholar, I have to say that the book mentions that the three Compendium, the three Congresses, and the concubinage are too pedantic. "the Spirit of the Chinese people" is seen from now on. Some of the views expressed in it may not be accepted by many Chinese people now! For any thought, we wish to take its essence away from its dregs. The ideas conveyed in this book are the same for me.
