会倒立的池先生

会倒立的池先生
I spent a month in winter vacation reading gu hongming's the spirit of Chinese people. I was deeply touched by his book and understood the spirit of real Chinese people and the three characteristics we must possess: broadness, profoundness and simplicity. In this work, Lao gu summed up the Chinese spirit in several aspects.
The first is gentlemanliness. Chinese are not tough, rude, harsh and violent, is gentle, genial. The Chinese may have many shortcomings, but they are somewhat tolerant. The second is compassion. In the book, the old gentleman advocates Chinese Confucianism very much, and Chinese compassion is a virtue passed down from generation to generation.
In this book, I think Mr. Gu still adores Chinese Confucianism too much, perhaps because in that era only extreme can let others hear the voice of China. However, I do not agree with the old gentleman's extreme worship of Confucianism and polygamy. Perhaps because of the different times, the thought has changed. But there is no denying the old gentleman's interpretation of Chinese. He said Chinese is a spiritual, simple language. That's a good explanation.
In a word, even if the old gentleman has some different ideas from us, he has played an important role in making the European people hear the voice of China.
