我看中国人的精神

I read Gu's The spirit of the Chinese people the first time, I donot agree with him, even I hate some of his views. I think these opinions are pedantic, ridiculous and stupid. But after understanding the situation Gu faced, I realize I am an ignorant and childish girl. Under the new culture tide, a period that the Eastern cultures are almost denied by all the countries, Gu cannot defend our Chinese spirit by using a conservative way, so he revolts and resists in an extreme way. What a pity! There is no doubt that his approach was to strike at the stone with the stone. But it cannot be denied that, the spirit of Chinese people, which Guys emphasized again and again, is what we yearn for and miss. We look forward to that innocence. It is a moral self-restraint. Gu is really a genius.
