The whole winter vacation is about to pass, during which I was fortunate to have read Mr. Koo Hong-ming 's "the Spirit of the Chinese people" and to have a better understanding of the history of the development of the Chinese nation and the spirit of the Chinese people at heart. During the period some regrets, such as some parts of the book still do not understand, but the overall harvest is still very large.

Some parts of the book are impressive and deeply felt after reading.

As the introduction to this book says, the true Chinese may have many shortcomings, either emphasizing that they have the first gentlemanly character in the spirit, but they may not be immune to vulgarity and have coarse, ugly, vulgar, stupid, too. Cunning and a range of features, but at the same time we can also see these shortcomings also revealed a bit cute. For example, the so-called gentleman can also be classified as a gentleman worshiped by the ancients. The ancients had a cloud of "the gentleman is unrestrained, and the villain is always concerned", "when the sky is strong, the gentleman will keep improving himself." and the gentleman will not succumb to his weakness and his character will not be weak. It can be seen that the gentleman and the gentleman are, in a sense, A kind of person. The loveliness behind the shortcomings is manifested in the fact that there is no so-called rudeness in rough inferiority, which may be ugly but not terrible, vulgar but not aggressive, ignorant but not absurd, and that there is no evil in cunning.

Therefore, the value of the book "the Spirit of the Chinese" is very important. We need such a person who can analyze all this from a big perspective and from a small perspective. Because of this, we can look at ourselves from another angle, and in the process of reading, we can reflect on whether we are also like the book, hidden in the depths of the inferiority, but also hidden in the heart of the good will.

At the same time, in his book, Mr. Gu Hongming compares some of our Confucian cultural values, "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, faith" with some ideas in Western religions. At the same time, he also compares the Analects of Confucius. Some of the comments in the Doctrine are contrasted with those in Western religions. More importantly, in this book, Gu Hongming points out that Confucianism does not belong to religion, so behind the whole book, these are thought-provoking. For example, in recent years, food safety incidents, everything is shocking, I think, maybe part of the reason is that the Chinese lack of some faith. After all, China is tough, too. Crime is sanctioned by the law. If businesses lack faith in kindness, it is not surprising that incidents such as tainted milk powder occur. Thus, the deep meaning behind the book is rich, and its value is enormous.

"in China, a man does not feel the need to protect himself with the power of nature, because he is convinced that justice and justice are higher forces than those of nature, and that everyone believes that moral obligation is something that must be obeyed." This sentence comes from a chapter of this book, from which we can feel the deep meaning it has hidden behind the text, and the virtue that Chinese people have been spreading from ancient times to the present, that is, the spirit of the Chinese people. The Chinese think, "at the beginning of man, nature is good." This is one of the most primitive kindnesses of a human being, whereas in the West, on the contrary, there is a "sexual evil theory." Well, we can't argue here about who's right or wrong, but what we can be sure of is, exactly.Reading the Spirit of the Chinese
