中国人的精神的书评

The Chinese people are unique, and the Chinese spirit is unique. However, in the era in which Gu Hongming lived, the spirit of the traditional Chinese people was depressed by the so-called advanced Western civilization and worthless. Everyone shouted at him. Gu Lao witnessed this tragedy, intending to find something valuable from the tradition and put it on the Chinese people at that time, to prove the superiority of the tradition and to shape the progressive and modern Chinese.
First of all, the Chinese people are meek, and thousands of years of civilization edify the Chinese people to sweep away the savage atmosphere. Even if a real Chinese has many shortcomings, he seldom disgusts others. It is this meekness, the product of compassion and genuine human wisdom, that makes Chinese people possess noble human nature, which is difficult to express in words, and makes Chinese people almost completely live a spiritual life. So why do Chinese people live a spiritual life since ancient times? Because virtue and filial piety are hidden in the hearts of almost every conscientious Chinese. Secondly, Chinese is a kind of spiritual language. It is very difficult to learn it with the mind and intelligence. Only by interlinking it with one's own spirit can one learn it more easily. Thirdly, because Chinese people use their hearts to remember, so Chinese people have wonderful memories. Finally, the courtesy of the real Chinese comes from the heart and spirit. It is a kind of courtesy that absolutely respects others. It is totally different from the rigid courtesy of the Japanese. Therefore, the Chinese people live a spiritual life, and their life lacks accuracy, but they have a polite way of caring and respecting others, wonderful memories, spiritual language - Chinese, filial piety, compassion for all.
The spirit of the Chinese people is the eternal young spirit and the immortal national spirit. Immortality is the perfect union of mind and mind. Why can the Chinese nation remain young forever? The answer is in Chinese civilization. For thousands of years, the Chinese civilization has not been contested endlessly in the development of modern European civilization, and the Chinese people's thirst for religion is not as ardent as that of Westerners. In other words, the Chinese people do not have religion, instead of religion, they have a complete philosophy and ethical and moral system, which is related to the civilization of human society - Confucianism. Why can Confucianism replace religion? Religion comes from people's fear of the unknown world. People hope that religion can dispel fear for them, especially for the civilians. Confucianism has such characteristics that it can provide people with a sense of security and eternity. In fact, in a broad sense, Confucianism can also be called religion, but it is different from western religion. It teaches people to love the masses. The concept of emperor's divinity can help rulers govern the country more effectively. In addition, as a religion in a broad sense, Confucianism emphasizes a sense of honor, that is, the way of gentlemen (the western gentleman's law), in which the creed of "righteousness of fame" is an important basis for maintaining social stability. In contrast, modern society tends to maintain stability by means of interests, force and deception, which is often unsustainable.
We must re-examine the meaning of the word "loyalty". Since modern times, the "Three Outlines and Five Constants" have long been criticized. Especially in the age of Gu Lao's life, except for a group of children left behind by the old and the young, the new backbone of society will never waved banners and shouted for the social significance represented by these four words. I think that Gu Lao's wisdom lies in this, he saw a truth: Everything that exists has its positive significance. The "three principles and five principles" which contain the core of "loyalty" can last for more than two thousand years. They must conform to a set of moral rules of conduct of the Chinese nation. They are truly native to China. For Gu Lao, they are the so-called unchanged truth. If we really want to overthrow this set of moral principles, we must first provide the Chinese people with another set of effective moral system. Then ask: Is it a matter of one day, one night, five years and ten years to overthrow and rebuild a moral system that can be recognized and followed by the overwhelming majority of the people? At that time, patriotism was patriotic, but radicalism was too much. Since modern times, the struggle between science and religion in the West has lasted till now. Nobody can completely defeat anyone. This is the best example to illustrate that the struggle between traditional things and new things seems to be endless. The word loyalty, that is, the name of righteousness lies not only in ancient times, but also in the cornerstone of social stability. Even today, when the material and spiritual civilizations of society are "greatly developed", even if the moral system of the Chinese nation's belief is transplanted from abroad, is it not covered with the cloak of "sinicization"? And the words of "patriotism and patriotism" and "solidarity around a certain leadership core" within the Sinicization are not the duplicates of "loyalty"? It can be seen that compared with the ancient Chinese, the contemporary Chinese have no skills in the construction of moral system. From this point of view, the more unique Gu Lao is, the more he sees the philosophical proposition that existence is reasonable at a glance. More importantly, he seems to be able to predict that Confucianism can still play an infinite role in his future world at that time.
