Read the Chinese spirit

 The winter vacation ,I fortunately read Gu Hongming undefineds "Chinese Spirit", from which I felt the eternal value of Chinese traditional culture. As a geek in the late Qing Dynasty, in the era of poor and weak people in China, through the writing of this book, Mr. Koo influenced Westernersundefined view of the Chinese people, removed Westerners from looking at Chinaundefineds colored glasses, and Mr. Koo used his pen to safeguard the dignity of the Chinese people. Expressed  the most sincere love for the motherland.

The whole book mainly talks about the Chinese character and the four characteristics of Chinese civilization, through the comparison with many countries, it emphasizes that only China has the four characteristics of broadness, depth, simplicity and agility. At the same time, it also points out the unique gentlemanliness of the Chinese people. 

Chinaundefineds broadness is embodied in the art of writing in China, and also in the mutual tolerance of different ethnic cultures on such a large land. It is precisely the Chinese nation that seeks common ground while reserving differences, so that all ethnic cultures can live in harmony and affirm the outstanding traditions of their own people even more. And actively absorb the cultural essence of other nationalities. Chinese characters are broad and profound, and Chinese is almost impossible for foreigners to learn. In China, however, even a very young child can speak Mandarin very well. The author thinks that Chinese is a language of the mind. Foreigners use their brains to learn Chinese, while Chinese people rely on their hearts to realize that the Chinese people are still living like children and have the power of thinking. Therefore, the Chinese nation is old and young. A vibrant people. The real Chinese are people with childlike hearts and adult minds.

 The depth of Chinese is reflected in homesickness, homesickness is the deepest dream of every Chinese. As the saying goes: "parents in, not far away." The scenery, dialect, snacks, weather, and most importantly, the people of our hometown make us enchanted, they are the courage and the significance of our struggle.

 At the same time, the Chinese people are simple, thousands of years of farming civilization that nature is needless to say, the Chinese hardworking, hard-working, with their own hands, to put together a day for themselves. However, the Chinese are not stupid, Chinese are flexible, with the development of human history, the process of globalization is getting faster and faster, how many countries envy Chinaundefineds Taobao, but can buy global goods. More and more goods are written: "Made in C hina", this is the Chinese adaptation to the world, this is the pride of the Chinese. 

As a foreigner, the longer he lived in Japan, the more he hated the Japanese. On the contrary, the longer you live in China, the more you like Chinese. This is perhaps the Chinese characteristic of the gentlemanly nature of the move. This kind of temperament benefits from the Confucian culture, the foreigner always ridiculed the Chinese does not have the religious belief originally, but Confucianismundefineds true greatness is that it is not a religion, actually rises to a kind of religion, is teaches the person to understand the propriety the gentlemanundefineds way. 

In this book, I am deeply impressed by Mr. Gu Hongmingundefineds words: "Chinese ancestor worship is not based on faith in the afterlife, but on the belief of race." Yes, what supports the Chinese forward, is faith, what is Chinaundefineds hope, is the continuation of generations of Chinese race. In todayundefineds society, the Chinese people should adhere to the good quality, with the common belief in creating a better life, work together and advance together.
