Going into Society is a short story written by English author Charles Dickens (1812-1870). First published in 1858, it focused on a circus in London's West End and its romantic dwarf.

Going into Society is Dickens's story of a man who sets up a circus in a respectable neighborhood. The main attraction is a dwarf, who belongs to the circus. One day, he happily wins a lottery that allows him to a prize of a large sum of money. He takes two other members of the circus with him only to discover, all too soon that his money did not last for as long as he liked.

He created some of the world's most well-known fictional characters and is generally regarded as the greatest novelist of the Victorian period.
