This book introduces the story of the Ming Dynasty Medical Scientist Li Shizhen. After decades of practicing medicine and reading classical medical texts, he discovered many errors in ancient herbal texts and spent decades compiling the Bencao Gangmu, a collection of herbs from all over the country. It became one of the most important medical books in Chinese history.
