This story is about a tramp whose name is Soapy. It tells that Soapy in order to provide against the coming rigor organized a series of illegal things to make himself to be arrested that he can spend the winter at Blackwell. Nevertheless, whatever he do, the cop can always find a logical reason for his behavior. At last, Soapy intend to give up his idea and plan to get a job at the next day to have a positive life, but at this time, a cop arrest him without a logical reason. That is a dumbfounding ending, and at the same time, it also exposes the dark side of the legal system.
